Remote keys
Hi there. I just recently bought a 2007 rx350 and it only came with the spare key only. Is the dealer the only way to get a remote key remade, or are there other avenues?

following i just brought a 2007 rx350 with one key and an aftermarket remote starter with no instructions, they sell blanks on amazon for 24-45 dollars but who is will cut them and then program the fob theres a few key steps to do in the right order after an hour and about 30 tries i have up lol i better not lose that ONE key

So after the search, it looked like locksmiths could duplicate the key without the dealer.
it just so happened that I went shopping at Sam’s Club today and there was a little mobile company outside the door called “Car Keys Express”. I asked the tech if they could create a master key for me with only my valet key and they said “absolutely!” They normally charge $250 but with a Sams Club membership, it cost only $150. I gave them my key, they cut it right on the spot but took a little longer to program my key with the alarms and transponder. Didn’t have to take off the handle, just plugged their computer and programmed it through that. 30 mins and $150 later, I have a new master key.
