Default Engine / Motor Mounts

Of course OEM is the gold standard but has anyone had success with aftermarket motor mounts? I am looking for recommendations.

The general consensus is that you can likely get away with the simple mounts as aftermarket ones like the dogbone and rear mount, the hydraulic-filled ones used on the front, and two sides of the vehicle however should be OE only, even if they're going to be used ones. My RX has a 2013-2015 engine mount for the passenger side and it fit (beefier construction but same fitment), and a 2009 ES350 transmission mount on the driver's side which can easily be adapted by trimming the locating tab at the top. I employed this trick on my 2002 Highlander as well with a 2015 Highlander transmission mount (same mount as ES350) and it worked fine. Likewise, any 2GR-FE mount from any k-platform car should work as well.

That's good news. I would definitely get an oem mount for the front. I figured the dog bone wasn't a critical mount that required oem. But I wasn't sure about the sides or the rear. I hate to hear that about after market mounts. I've read some mixed reviews about anchor motor mount.

I went aftermarket on the dog bone and haven't done the rear mount yet but went oem on the engine mount on front and passenger side.

At first I bought the hydraulic engine mount for passenger side at local chain auto part store(aftermarket) and was happy and thinking how much money I saved but it didn't last long.

Imagine my surprise when I had everything apart and the engine jacked up and the new mount won't bolt on because one if the bolt holes was off by 1/2"!
Ok no problem I'm thinking I'll just slot the hole on my mill and make it fit but wait- can't do that because the curve in the bracket was off by a C hair.

Honestly I think they put the same mounts you can get on ebay for 1/3rd the price in a box and make a killing on it.
Seem to have the same sucky fitment. lol

Bought the oem and fit properly first time.
If the possibility of having to do the job twice sounds like fun like I'd get the aftermarket. haha

With all the aftermarket companies out there like, anchor, dea, beck/arnley, westar, pioneer, skp, replacement, trq, diy solutions, and I am sure there are others, you would think that you could find at least one that had pretty good quality. I would assume some of those companies use the same supplier.

I did find a local lexus dealer here with good prices. All 5 mounts would cost $793.94 us dollars and that includes tax.

Don't forget to check your Toyota dealer also as well as some dealers online parts.

What toyota vehicle would be equivalent. I've found a mount for the 2005 Camry that looks the same. Part number starts the same but last digits are different.
When I checked the toyota sight it said this also fit 2wd highlanders. $90 bucks for the Toyota one versus $190 for the lexus one.
I have the 2nd gear clunk, so I believe this is my problem as all shifting is other wise smooth.
Thanks.

Need more info. What model of RX do you have, what mount are you planning on changing, and which mount is it from the Camry? Trans, eng, etc?

The 123720H090 is the 4-cyl version of the newer 6-speed tranny mount. The one I have was the V6 6-speed version from an ES350 (12372-0P010). That 4-cyl mount may not be up to the task of the torquier V6, but it’ll still fit the same if you grind the mounting tab off.

Stock mount on right side, mounts used on the newer 6-speed and 8-speed transmissions will need to have the tab ground off as shown.
