Default Is it worth replacing the lower engine cover?

Hello everyone I hope all is well with you.

I was driving on the highway (NJ Turnpike) and something fell off the truck in front of me, I swerved but it bounced under my car and ended up knocking most of the engine cover off. I pulled into the next gas station and luckily there was a Sunoco roadside assistance station at that gas station. I never knew there was such a thing because I never had to use it. Anyway, told the person what happened and at first he wanted to cut the flapping piece off but instead he unscrewed the remaining part that was attached to the car.

So my question are:
1.) Is it worth putting back on?
2.) If so should I get a replacement part or still use the one I currently have? See attached.
3.) Go to the dealer, independent shop or a street mechanic to put the piece back on. I don't own a jack nor jack stands.
4.) How do I find out what size screws and clips I'll need?

Last but not least thanks in advance for any valuable input.

Yes, I would definitely put it back on. It does provide protection from water, dirt, debris, etc., and it directs airflow.
It's not a huge deal if you don't put it back on, but I think it's important.

They sell plastic "body" fasteners on ebay, but they're not exact Toyota matches, so their fit kind of stinks, depending on the kit you buy.
I can fit under my RX if I drive on short pieces of 2x4's under the front tires.

The top part of your picture they are held up with small metric bolts they screw into the front cross member, the rear screws fit up to the rear plastic cover, your oil filter cover is missing looks like most of your bolts were missing..

I would suggest going to a pick and pull part place and get one from there. But the RX330 and 350 have different covers.

2004-2006 Lexus RX330 - Cover Assy, Engine Under - 51440-48010 replaced by 51440-0E010

2007-2009 Lexus RX350 - Center Shield - Lexus (51440-0E020)

If you do this, make sure to take all the clips that hold it on.

Are any of the screws still under the car?
If you have one, those are easy to match at your local hardware store.

I had most of my screws break off when I had to remove the cover. I have mine held up now with a few screws but the rest of it is held up with zip ties which work great. I think they wanted almost $300 for a new shield.

I was thinking the same thing regarding using zip ties. I even had some reusable ones in the car but the guy from roadside assistance suggested against.

I recently purchased this item for my 2009 RX350 on eBay less than $50. How do I find the screws needed for install? I only have one left from the existing shield. Is their a drawing available showing the part number for the screws?

Here's the screw part number: 9008015094 (need 2)
The bolt: 9008011718 (need 8, I think)
And the plastic Body Clip: 5216102020 (need 4?)

The screws and bolts can be bought at any hardware store if you know the size. The bolt is just a M8-1.25 x 30mm. I don't know the exact size of the screw.

Here's the Lexus parts page with the cartoon showing the parts: https://parts.lexus.com/a/Lexus__RX-...3410-5102.html

The underbody cover helps with the airflow resistance aside from acting like a physical barrier from projectiles off the road. Put it back.

These clips are good:

The bolts are just short metric bolts, just get them anywhere (m5-m8). Buy stainless or even brass as they WILL rust out being under the car.
