Vacuum leak?
I have a whistling sound coming from somewhere down in the motor. It goes up in pitch and tone when the rpms go up. What could I be looking at as a culprit?

If you post your fuel trims from your live scanner data we can tell immediately if it is a vacuum leak.
Other than that it's almost impossible to diagnose a sound on subjective descriptions other than luck but that's not a good way to diagnose anything.

well I don’t have a scanner and don’t really have the funds for one right now.

no it’s totally a different sound. More indicative of a vaccum leak I believe. But I don’t have any diag tools to work with at the present time.

Is your AC "full"?
Is your coolant level between min and max?
