Engine Mounts: OEM or Aftermarket? Any difference?
Hi everyone,
New poster here. I have a 2004 RX that I’m putting in the shop this week and one of the things I’m having done is replacing the engine mounts. The mechanic stressed that I use OEM mounts vs Aftermarket because the OEM ones are “liquid filled” and vibrate less. I wanted to get some opinions on this, would there be a noticeable difference?

The OEM mounts cost alot more but that's what I eventually did but I did save some money buying from trusted Lexus sellers on ebay.
At first I tried to go the cheap route on my passnger side and had to do the job twice.
Bought the mount from local auto parts store and it looked the same but one of the bolt studs was off by 1/2" and couldn't tell until old mount was out- oh yeah I was cussing. lol
PS- the only mount I replaced that is not oem is the transmission mount and I'm regretting- like previous poster says- it's ok so I got lucky but it's not great.
