Default Fluid leak!!

Does anyone know what this cap/ port is called? Its leaking what appears to be ATF fluid or coolant?. It's below the exhaust manifold next to the oil filter. Thanks!

My guess was coolant because of the location? But it also seems thicker/oily, like ATF to the touch? Strange...

Is this an RX330 or RX350 or RX400h, what year, sheesh, provide a few details, how many miles, year. FWIW it is a coolant leak but engine type matters...

red in color is usually either trans fluid or coolant. In either case u definitely want to attend to it right away especially if its coolant as losing too much of that equals overheating.

as long as its cool to the touch like in the morning; I would take the radiator cap off and fill it with coolant. Same with the overflow tank; but u again u definitely want to get that leak fixed asap.

Ok, I figured it out. It's a defective seal on the engine block heater cover plate. Looks like you remove the plate (prepare to get wet), clean the area, heat resistant RTV the cover back on, add about a gallon of coolant, leak check it. Should be good to go.

just make sure the rtv u use is made specifically for high temps; otherwise it may not last that long.

At your mileage, may as well do a complete coolant drain and fill, make your coolant mess at the radiator drain plug and block drain plugs. BTW, Toyota SM specs a different FIPG (Form In Place Gasket, aka RTV) for coolant contact as compared to oil contact, but seems people use the oil one everywhere without problems.
