I have a 2009 RX 350 which I believe did not come with the towing package. I am considering purchasing a jet ski and installing an after market tow kit to hook to the frame and wiring. Has anyone had any experience with installing aftermarket towing with the normal transmission? Did you have any problems or issues from pulling weight?

 

That weight shouldn't pose any issues....I'd change the trans fluid & filter & since your there, swap out the diff & transfer case fluid.......1 gallon of Max-life & a Wix filter & 2 qtrs of Royal Purple 75/90 gear oil is what I went with. Dropping the pan gets you to clean both magnets in the pan.....Next time you could do a drain & fill.....

 

I towed a 3500 lb boat/trailer on level terrain 200 times a year for 5 years in FL heat. Never a problem. Your outfit might weigh 1000 lb
