c1931 code - pressure leak in ABS
I have a 2007 rx400h with 230000 miles. It has been a great car. My kid hit a pot hole and now all the idiot lights come on - VSC, ABC etc. I found that it may be a leak in the brake hose (not an actuator problem). 2 a bad brake skip control ECU - not an actuator problem or a Bad brake Actuator per a post I found earlier. Has anyone else had this problem. Are there any scan tools that would work or must you use Techstream?. I am able to turn the lights off with a Novia 3130 - lights stay off for 2 days then come back on. I really don't want to fork over 3 to $5000 to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi bluto5,
Please check your code again for typo.
Also, which wheel hit the pothole- someone may need to inspect that area asap if you have a fluid leak(if C1319) and might be losing brake fluid.

C1391, no leaks. No issue at all with breaking. Vsc warning, abs light, tire pressure light all on. Right front hit pot hole. Lights came on 2 days after. I reset the code once a week for past 2 months. Lights all come back on a few days later. The brake fluid compressor runs more often, but is not hot and does not squeal .. sounds like it has for past 5 years. Compressor does run for a minute or 2 after car is parked and turned off, which is longer than before. Also, turns on whenever drivers door is opened and not running. Absolutely no drop in fluid either. So, somehow, ABS is not having enough pressure, I guess. But which unit to replace first?
Ok just making sure.
I don't have much on this but will send you pm what I got and maybe it will give more ideas.
Ps- ya know just thinking have you tried to flush the fluid? maybe you have some fine debris in actuator keeping it from sealing pressure internally? I now it sounds like a hail mary but maybe get lucky I don't know.

Bleeding the lines for sure. First though remove the wheel there and inspect the brakes and lines in that area. Something on the brake system could've been pinched or deformed if that wheel bottomed out hard.
Yeah, I need a scanner that will bleed brakes. I’m looking at an auto tell mx808 or something possibly.i really don’t want to try bootleg tech stream. I viewed the brakeassembly, all good. No leaks. I unplugged the abs sensor.. it had resistance at.5 I believe. Both side had same resistance so I figured they’re good. No drop in fluid level. Been driving it with lights on for 2 months. NO issues other than lights on. It has never had fluid replaced. Never recommend by dealer the few times it was at Lexus for recall stuff. So, I will try that. Does anyone know which scan tools will bleed the brakes. I want to get a creader vII+, but can’t figure out if it bleeds brakes or not. I know there is a cheap acutely maxi something that bleeds brakes but acutely told me I need the mx808 which is $350... thanks

- Check the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector's pins.
It does what you need and much more but you won't have access to online TIS services(paid subscription) and you won't be able to flash the ecm's with latest updates but you don't need that anyway.
It makes you register(subscription required to register) after 20 or so uses but many people just uninstall/reinstall.

PS- I flushed mine without Techstream. I bought 3 large bottles of brake fluid and with a helper started at passenger front and worked around I did this twice. First time with car not running pumped pedal several times and cracked bleeder 3 or 4 times per wheel. Then with car running bled system again. Nobody would believe the trash that came out- looked like coffee but fluid in reservoir looked like new. New fluid might help clean out trash in actuator over time. WARNING- fluid reservoir does not hold as much as it looks- check after each wheel so you don't run out and have to bleed the master too like I did!
