Curios to hear what transmission fluid you guys use. I'm wanting to swap out the filter as well as the fluid. I see there's quite a bit of 411 regarding WS vs non certified oils. I wouldn't think, just because a oil company didn't go thru the process of getting their product Toyota certified that it wouldn't work & perform the same if not better. Lot of 411 on tacomaworld. Like to hear what you guys are thinking/thoughts. I was originally going w/ the toyota fluid, but now as all this 411, I believe I'll use the maxlife.

I would stick to WS fluid, it's not that expensive (takes less than 4 qt for drain and refill).

Valvoline MaxLife Full Synthetic ATF on all of my vehicles with a standard AT. My Scion and NX are CVT and low mileage so when those are due, I'll see what my options are. I'd also go MaxLife if it is compatible. No issue so far and my RX shifts smooth.

Changed my RX330 around 73K miles when I got it used, pushing 110K now. Zero issues. My last Camry went through 3 drain and fills and still ran when I sold it at 190K. I have no issues to report of, but I have changed the trans fluid consistently with new filters each time.

I had a look at the back of a gallon jug of maxlife & it said it'll work for your T-IV fluid. + on top of it, its full synthetic vs dino oil.......

Full synthetic sounds good to me but don't know if compatible with WS type for your car tho.
Since I've already done 3 drain and fills maybe I'll drop the pan and take a look and then do a total fluid change by dropping the transline with the Maxlife
so I have all new.

Max life will work and do a better job, it's also the same stuff autozone and advance auto brands as their "multi vehicle" and "global" fluids respectively. It works in literally everything I've tried it in that it claims to, only ones to NOT use it in are ZF and ATF+4 trans.
