How about a penny farthing?
Seriously, you say it costs too much to fix(finances aren't great), you can't do any of the repairs yourself and the repairs are a matter of time. Fix it or forget it but there are many knowledgeable people on this forum who offer invaluable help to anyone and it would be a shame to waste their time with silly questions.
See posts 1,9,11,13 and what conclusions would you come to?

Hi friend,
Honestly all cars with high miles are leaking somewhere so I don't get too worried about that.
The question is- how bad is it leaking?
There are lots of videos and you can get a basic repair manual cheap on ebay or amazon for simple things like topping off the fluid in the transfer case to help get your confidence up.
That's what I would do first- top off fluid.
If it was my car I would then unhook the battery to be safe and hit the leaky area with some degreaser and wipe it with a rag or even a hose if there are no wires there and get it very clean like new.
Next I would drive it as normal and monitor it and never let the transfer case run dry.
The leak can be a very slow leak that happened over a period of many years but might not be a big deal if it's a very slow leak and you keep your fluid topped off.
For $1,300 It would have to be a gusher of a leak for me to worry about it- keeping the case full of fluid is important and the case clean so fluid is no dripping down on wires and rubber parts.
Next- the spark plugs- that's a good one. The front bank(Bank 2) is very simple and there are videos online step by step with basic tools and attention to detail- but the back bank is for someone with experience since i requires pulling the intake plenum and throttle body- some mechanics have a workaround but not recommended for amateur.
The Brakes- like a previous poster mentioned- I bought OEM on ebay for pads and rotors for $211 but you can get much less at auto part store.
Like other posters mentioned- if you are willing to try to fix it go for it otherwise might wanna go the car payment route for newer car.
Good Luck Peace

Well at this point as far as the leak goes it must be done before it gets any worse and it starts actually dripping. Once that starts happening it’s game over as far as that goes. I don’t have the tools or experience to fix something like that. As for the plugs those are a royal pita!!!

You drive an 07 lexus that is 12 years old your making it sound like nothing should go wrong its over a decade old stuff brakes or gets worn out it happens so my advice watch youtube videos as well as read the wealth of information on this forum and fix your own car.
