Default Air Suspension Flat

Hi folks.
I recently got myself an RX300 2004, which has a suspension fault.
The symptoms:
The height is stuck at its lowest.
The green indicating light on the dash is a neutral. The height selection switch does nothing to change this.
When I turn the ignition on I don’t hear the pump running.

I intend checking if the pump is getting any electrical power, but I’d like to know if it’s always powered when the ignition is on or just when needed.
This then leads me look for a relay that it’s powered through. I assume it must be as it’s quite a heavy motor.

I appreciate any help or suggestions.

Not too many replies so here is an update.

I’ve trawled the internet for information on this. The wiring diagrams I’ve found are really poor.

My suspension compressor isn’t running. I’ve found that the suspension relay isn’t being switched.

The relay is good.

When the load side is shorted the compressor runs ok.

If I put a supply to the positive side of the relay switch+ the pump works ok.

So the conclusion is the relay isn’t receiving a trigger signal.

My problem is, where does this switch signal come from.

If anyone can give me a hint please.

Are you in North America? This is a largely US based forum, and as far as I know air suspension was never offered on North America spec rx's.

Hi, it is difficult for us to help as this forum is mostly Americans, and we never had the air suspension, and a lot of the service manuals sold here do not cover features unavailable here. I will see if I can find any schematics for the air suspension. Could you post a picture of the button that is supposed to activate it? It may be easier to find a schematic for the air suspension of a LX or GX.

edit: it looks like I misspoke. Air suspension was available it seems. You may find some info in the following thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...em-solved.html

is it possible you turned the system off by mistake with this button?

also, you say you have a 2004 rx300. I believe you mean rx330, correct?

I've now managed to trace the + side of my relat to the connector behind the panel in front of the driver's knee.
It's a direct wire on to the ECU with no other connections.
I've concluded that the ECU must be faulty, so decided to look for a replacement.
This has given me another issue.
My part number is 89293-48012 but the part I can get is 89293-48013. Note the last digit.
Can anyone tell me if these are interchangable? Mine is from a 2004 and the later is from a 2007.

It is too expensive to fix air suspension on such a car,I did replace it with regular strut/spring kind and all good to go,it was plug and play no need for modifications,my car is 2004 RX 330 USA model

Guys thanks for your input.
Managed to find the fault.
