Opinions on used purchase 2008 or 2009 RX350
Hi, would like to get any opinions on a purchase I am considering. 2008 RX 61,000 miles 2 owners $11,900 or 2009 RX 70,000 miles one owner, $12,300. Both are from dealers approx. 140 miles away in different directions so not easily accessible to check out both. Both appear good shape and have good reports on carfax. Any advantages to one year vs. the other. I'm coming from a 2001 GS 300 which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, but time is catching up with it and I don't want to sink good money after bad. All thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Lexus/Toyota were always considered one of the most reliable brands out there, thus I bought an 09 with high mileage and drives great. I think you'll be fine either route you go but from my experience, do your checks on fluids, etc because mine came with empty power steering.

Which means, like mine, there is a PS leak in the steering rack. Check the PS inboard boots for oil and holes, and keep an eye on your PS level. I added some Lucas stop leak, and so far seems to be working. Also put on new steering boots to keep dirt out.
