Thanks but I'm in the far south suburbs. I took a ride today with a local garage mechanic who felt it was most likely a wheel bearing tho not 100% on that. And he thought the sound was coming from the rear.
In another thread someone thought it was more drive train related. Not sure how you diagnose between the two. I guess running it on a lift they can poke around and use a stethoscope if needed.

Just got mine checked out and it seems like driver rear wheel bearing. The passenger side rear a little bit. Mine you can hear at 40 mph+. He said eventually gets worse at lower speed. So getting it changed within the next two weeks.

As being a technician for a long time, I always used an electronic stethoscope while spinning the wheel, however if you have an all-wheel drive, or just a front wheel drive, the noise from the gear case in either situation can mislead you into falsely diagnosing a bad wheel bearing. When I have found to be the most useful way to diagnose, is to put one hand on the strut spring and while spinning the wheel you should feel a vibration. A good wheel bearing will not produce a vibrations in the spring. A lot of the time, wheel bearings will not be loose, therefore it makes it very hard to diagnose a bad wheel bearing.
