Power Steering Pressure Hose replacement
Except for the power steering pump and the high pressure hose have a small leak.
I have put P/S stop leak. It did not work. Now I'm going to replace both pump and hose.
I have seen videos on how to replace the pump. However, I cannot find videos/instructions on replacing the P/S high pressure hose. Specifically how to unscrew the connector that attaches to the P/S rack and pinion.
Do I attack it from the underneath the car or from the top (after I remove the plenum, throttle body and air filter cover)?
What size wrench?
Do I need a special tool?
Does anyone have a suggestions or can point me to a video/writeup DYI?
Thanks in advance.

PS. 2 weeks ago I replace the rear spark plugs - I believe it's the same process to get to the screws holding the pressure hose.
For about a year now, I have had a PSF leak and assumed, from this forum it was the seals or the entire steering rack. I never took the wheels off to look. Stop leak seemed to help, as long as I didn't do a full steering wheel lock to either side.
One of my mechanics is a certified toyota mechanic that open up his own shop. I had to swing by to ask a question about my mom's IS250. He had a rack open so he put my RX up there, and voila, it's the pressure hose that has a leak. I personally didn't want to deal with it. He said the TB and all that stuff has to come off, so he would change the spark plugs out for me and the coil packs as well. He also changed out one of the reservoir hoses, I think the return hose. It was $500 labor. shop rate is $125/hr. For me it was worth it, I haven't worked on that before, and I didn't have to worry about effing it up. I wish I had your skill set! I would wish you luck but you don't need it.
Dad and I was able to successfully remove and replace the P/S high pressure hose and pump.
NWFSNAKE - you are correct there was enough room underneath the car to remove the connector from the rack.
There are 3 places where the P/S high pressure hose were screwed in place. I had do the job similar to replacing rear spark plugs (remove everything on top) to gain access to those screws. Perhaps someone knows a better/easier way.
Since I did the rear spark plugs recently - it was easier and quicker the 2nd time.
The proper size socket/extension is crucial in order to remove the top screw of the P/S pump.
Thanks everyone for the support.

And was it for the pump or the hose going to the pump?
Thank you.
