08 RX350 100K miles on it. When accelerating, there is sounds like diesel engine, kira kira kira kira ... probably at the same speed of the engine rotation. When I release the pad the sound disappears. It seems that when the engine is cold it sounds a little louder than after driving for awhile or it could be that you use to it when driving about 10 minutes.

This has been for couple months. WHat I don't remember si whether it sounds differently in summer.

Anyone has the same experience? Could there be something which needs repair? The cluster doesn't show anything yet.

The cold start piston slap. Very common, look it up and I'm fairly certain its the same thing as what you're describing

I did look it up and it sounds like piston slap. I will keep an eye on it. THanks for the response.

No problem, our RX has done it since 2008 and still running fine at 150k
