TPMS Install Experience
One of the OEM sensors failed in our 2009 RX with 75K miles. Called the local Toyota dealer to get an estimate to replace and register the new sensor. $225!! I called several tire shops and estimates were lower but still over $100. I decided to give Sam's Club a call. What a nice surprise. $5 per sensor to install and $19 to register the sensors, not just 1 but the entire vehicle.
I bought 5 new sensors from Amazon, $35.50 each for Denso brand. I took them to Sam's and about 90 minutes later and $44 I was on my way. I was a bit apprehensive reading some of the posts about problems registering the new sensors but the folks at Sam's clearly have the required hardware and software. So for less than what the Toyota dealer wanted to install 1 new sensor I had all 5 replaced for a total of $221.50. Should be good to go for another 75K miles or about 9-10 years.
