TPMS non-OEM sensors
I have 2ea. Dorman 974-033 TPMS sensors to install on my 2007 Lexus rx350, but I have been told that only Toyota/Lexus can do the changes because of proprietary rules by Toyota. Is this correct? What should I do next or Any suggestions?

The Dorman TPMS Sensors should be fine as long as you are certain you have the correct part.
I installed a Dorman AFS Sensor on my RX330 4 months ago, functions perfectly.
Always satisfied with Dorman products, used many of them on previous vehicles also.

350 uses a newer system than 330. Mine had to be registered to the system by techstream. If u have techstream, u can do it, otherwise Toyota or Lexus dealer for it to be initialized and registered in ecu.

I had a dead sensor on my 07 350 and took it to Discount tire. They replaced it with some aftermarket brand that allows them to clone the ID number, no Techstream involved. $60 out the door. Works just fine.
