Dashboard finally being replaced
the new dash has arrived ! thankfully the existing dash had only a few small cracks off to the sides, but material was flaking away at edges near defrost opening below windshield. the 2017 loaner rx350 is very nice !
My dash was replaced about 3 months ago. I recently noticed that it is getting scuff marks from the window shade I use. The original didn't do that. I'm not sure, but I think the new one feels stiffer than the original when I press on it.
I'm not familiar with 303. I thought something would be good to put on it, like lexol or mink oil for the leather but can't get a solid consistent answer from anyone weather it's benificial or not or which product to use. Maybe a club buddy knows.

AS303 is the best protectant. If I did not use it on my RX, the dashboard would have been in pieces. With the slight cracks, Lexus decided to replace it, which is good. Steep but well worth it. $21 for 32 OZ.
The dashboard was replaced. Dashboard looks good, but I can see some sink mark. Just because my profession deals with plastics and automotive parts. Considering that these are free, they relaxed their quality standard.
I cannot complain, it was replaced free of charge, better than cracks and crumbling dashboard. I will enjoy it for a while and will eventually apply AS303. Everything seems to work, no noises. I have not tried my Bluetooth adapter to verify if it still works, hope it does.
I appreciate Lexus-Toyota stepping up to do us right. Big lesson learned on the Unintended Acceleration issue (which they are really not at fault, however their response was slow). Plus the airbag issue which put Takata out of business.
Good that the automotive companies are getting sensitive to our expectations.

I have 2009 rx350 letter about the dash enhancement warranty about 1-2 year ago but I never take the car in for inspection because the dash still look and feel okay. I am too late to bring it in for the dash sticky or melt inspection ?.
I hope it works well for you. I had the dashboard replaced on my 2008 Lexus RX350 and there's a substance in it that is causing a severe allergic reaction to the point that my wife cannot drive the car. Lexus says they've fulfilled their warranty obligation and will not even give the MSDS to see what might be causing the allergic reaction and if it's possibly toxic. Are the 4,000,000 plus dashboard replacement also defective?
