driver side up-down mirror inop. left-right ok. help

Depending if the motor is shot or not, what works for me is sometimes I gotta give it a bump in either the up down direction by hand. My up/down frequently loses function when I fold the mirrors, probably because when you fold them, it has a "pop" motion which transfers into the mirror motor. A quick bump in either direction always fixes it for me.

Push the mirror inside gently from down,you will be able to see the mechanism from up,,spray some lube,not silicone there,,give it few moves slowly around and try using the swtich
