Hello all, has anyone with 2nd Gen updated their navigation software to show current streets? Mine is an 05 and many streets are not present. Twelve years is a long time and alot of changes have occurred.

We have not but according to this the 2015 update was the final update for your nav generation.

That is s Gen 5, the OP has a Gen 2 system, the last update was a couple of years ago.

OP meant 2nd generation RX. 2005 was Gen 4 or 5.

First, you are in the wrong section. Yours is a second gen and you are in third gen forum. But, to answer your question. I am sure there is an update. I know someone that has a 2010 and they just updated to the 2016 maps. They had to go to the dealer to have it done and the dealer charged $239. Very special maps I would say. If you are referring to the system as a whole rather than just the maps, it is my understanding that is not possible.

ilomaster is correct, the map information update does not update the screen appearance/resolution/processor speed
or anything but the map streets and points of interest. (Playing the latest music release does not upgrade your speakers...)
