I've purchased 2 cut keys from 1010 on ebay and they both open the doors and turn in the ignition, but obviously won't start the car.

I also purchased 2 remote modules from here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Smart-remot...72.m2749.l2649

Which are supposed to be the exact replacement for my make and year (they look identicle).

I'm waiting on a copy of Techstream (with cable) to arrive from ebay, to program the keys.

The one thing I CANNOT get to work is the programming of the remote modules. I've tried ALL the different methods, door opening insert remove key multiple times and the door locks NEVER cycle. The remotes light up and the batteries are new.

Could it be that my car is different since they only made them 3 years (2006 - 2008) ?

Thanks.
Claus
Wait for techstream, you should program the immobilizer before the keyless entry anyways. Within techstream I recall the keyless is in a separate portion from the immobilizer programming which a google search or YouTube search will yield.

Good luck.

Thanks I'll await the arrival of the techstream.

So you're saying that the remote can also be programmed through techstream?

That would make things very easy.

Thanks in advance.

Both remote and key immobilizer can be programmed through Techstream.

I was trying to figure it out on my own. But then I realized that without js assignment help it would be very difficult for me to figure it out. And only with professional help I was able to solve this problem.
Thanks.

Of course it can happen.

Toyota has been using that key fob for a long long time
This can be done manually (Did the seller give you the exact instructions to do it manually, One time it took me 10 times to do it right. or with Techstream (much easier)

Does your extra remotes have the same board id on them inside?
