2007 Non ML audio information
Okay people, I have looked everywhere I can think of to find this information but it seems to be some sort of state secret - does anyone have any idea what the crossover frequencies are for our system? I have the non ML navigation system. If I knew what the crossover frequencies are that would save me a great deal of work. The amp is plenty powerful enough for my use but the front speakers... well... they suck to be honest. I'd love to replace the drivers but that's hard to do without knowing the crossover frequencies. I could guess and may well end up having to do that. I even asked Lexus and they didn't have a clue either. I don't have a tone generator nor an oscilloscope so I can't even figure it out that way... anyone???

I don't know what you wish to do with your audio system but I just did a job in my 2007 RX350 yesterday. I put a pair of JBL Club Series 6x9's in the doors and a pair of JBL Club Series 3.5 inch in the dash corners. I'm about to turn 56 so I don't need one of those cars that go boom in the night. For my needs it's a HUGE improvement over the factory system. I bought these speakers at Amazon and they were only $115. Crutchfield wanted $200. I had to buy adapters for the door speakers that were $15.

I am not interested in the resonating POS, what I am interested in is better resolution and better frequency response. The tweeters in particular are weak and the door speakers are starting to fail. Putting a pair of coax 6x9 speakers would solve the door speaker problem but if I did nothing else, assuming the signal sent to the door speaker rolls off before going to the mid-range/tweeter then I'm still left with a weak tweeter. My plan is to go with component speakers, to utilize the existing, in amp crossovers I need to either know those crossover frequencies or I need each drive to cover as large a response as possible so that it's likely that each one will easily cover it's assigned frequencies.
