'04 RX330 AC compressor clutch will not engage. I have some skill level, have R&R'd brake pads, rotors, alternator, but am lost on HVAC. Is there a relay? Is there a Hi/Lo switch I can bypass to see if the system is low on Freon?

Don't bypass the low pressure cutoff. Better to get some gauges on it and see what you have. Gauges are cheap enough at places like pepboys and are a good investment if you intend to do your own maintenance. Depending on ambient temperature you should be somewhere around 150-160 on the high side and around 50-60 on the low side.
