I checked my orders but yes it does come with a guide. It tells you to actually cut the wire sleeve and hook up the resistor that way but plugging it into the connector pin is faster and easier.

I don't think the exact one I bought is on sale anymore but I bought the 8 Core CPU version with 6GM RAM. It is essentially an android tablet so don't get one too low in specs or it'll be slow.
