Default Wheel bearing replacement question

My newly acquired 04 RX is starting to have a wheel bearing howl which i believe is coming from the front left. First question is should i only be looking at getting a Koyo part? I have found one online and it is just the bearing, no hub. Do you need to replace the hub with the bearing or can you just reuse? Also I only have a Toyota dealer close to me and they cant look at Lexus parts, Does anyone know what vehicles cross reference with this beaning that they could look up? Thanks for the help.

You shouldn't have to buy a new hub. The bearing is all you should need. It's a press-in bearing, so expect corresponding labor time/charge. Any quality bearing should be fine. Try to find reviews. Timken, SKF, MOOG and several others are generally good.

The RX330/350 is based on the Highlander. I'm surprised your Toyota dealer doesn't know this. Most drivetrain items are shared. The only thing different for the strut assemblies between the two is the springs. All other parts are the same. Knowing you can cross reference many Highlander parts lets us save a few bucks, as anything branded Lexus carries a premium. If it comes from a Lexus dealer, well... it's overly inflated.

I bought these three items and then took them down to Pep Boys to press the old bearing out of the hub, and press the new one on. They did struggle a bit, but in the end, completed the job for a decent price. Brakes plus wanted like $100+ !!
