My 2005 RX has a nav system but the bluetooth only supports phone calls from my Android phone and I want to be able to also play music.

They've been discussed before so don't overlook existing threads. Many, including me, have installed an aftermarket bluetooth interface. I used the USA Spec BT45-TOY but there are many others out there. VAIS's interfaces are frequently discussed solutions.

Terrific! Crutchfield gave me a recommendation and it conforms to the spec you mention.
