Hey guys,

I just got a new to me '05 RX330 (love the ride!) and I have a dumb question. So the center console, to open it you press open. to close it you press close. No problem there.
But the storage area right above that, the wood covered one...how does that open? I pressed on it and nothing happened. I don't want to break anything so I didn't mess with it other than that. I thought I'd just ask some owners and play it safe.

The forward cubbie is the cupholder. Press on the cover at the small silver inlay and it should release and open upward.

 

Dang it. It doesn't.

 

Update - It seems a well placed palm strike on the silver mark worked wonders. It probably needs to be taken apart and cleaned real well. I'll see if I can learn how to pull the console out this weekend.
