Default Quick question on center console

Can someone please tell me how to remove the 2 silver molding pieces that are on both sides of the wood trim by the ashtray? i tried tugging on them but i'm afraid i'm going to snap them.

i need to send my vaistech unit out for repair (as you can tell i didn't install it myself )

thanks guys!

If you have an automatic, you have to disengage the the plastic claw on the molding by gently prying (towards the center console) up at the corner where the molding meets the wood trim (down by the cup holder). Once you have popped up that corner, firmly firmly grasp the molding, ensure the claw is clear, and pull the molding back towards the rear seat disengaging the remaining two claws.

Hope this helps!

Just pull them up and away from the center console.
