Default adding proximity sensors

I have an 07 350 without the navi system. Does anyone know if it is possible to add the sensors that detect how close you are getting to a car in front (or behind) you? Is there an aftermarket kit?

Thanks

Cobra Parkmaster. I have tried several brands in the past and this was the only one that work as well as OEM sensors. They are a UK company so you cant buy directly from them, but you can find them on eBay. They run about $120 bucks for the rear set. They also make a front set, but after watching YouTube videos of how the front set worked, I decided to not get them.

I had some rear ones installed by going to a car radio/alarm store/installation center. Cost was about $200 installed, plus about $100 painting if you wanted them the color of your car (which I did). They have lasted well (six years) but recently one sensor has stopped working. The other three cover the area well though.
Ebay offers a variety of sensors (with the 'box' that verifies input and sends the data to the indicator and the 'beeper)'. They are really inexpensive and I fear many are cheap and prone to breakdown. Many of them, at different price points, seem identical. Prices start around $12 for the entire system. Input 'parking sensors' in the search box.
They are very useful. My 09RX350 without nav. and thus without rear camera has awfully bad vision to the rear - shame on you Lexus not to have sensors installed as most other car manufacturers at those prices have - and they have been and are super useful. I strongly recommend installing them.

I saw those cheap kits on e-bay. I wonder if they would last 6 months. But some of them offer sensors in color, so maybe I might avoid having to paint them. Overall, my main concern is more for the front end than the rear. I can't see any piece of my car past the windshield wipers.

I have cheap front and back kit from China and it still works for 3 years now. But for me i found better solution - i installed front camera and to me it's much better to see than hear those beeps

If you choose to install sensors, the Parking Aid System PZ464-K0425-00
installation document shows among other information where it's good to drill holes.

I have 4.3 inch screen from China again I placed on the middle of the dash at the lowest point on the dash so it doesn't affect windshield AC outlets and ran wires under the dash. To get wire from front camera was PIA as I couldn't find any holes from engine compartment to the cabin.

That sounds interesting. I'm undecided if I want to do a video camera like you have done or just go with the beeping thing. Decisions decisions.

But thank you for the info.

I read the pdf you proved the link for. Thank you.

That is one scary project. I don't know if I am ready to take on a project like that.
