Automatic boot not opening or closing
‼️Advice please‼️
I have just purchased a second hand Lexus Rx300.
The boot isn't opening or closing automatically. It just beeps twice and makes a noise like it's trying to do something but that's as much as I get ?? Anyone have any idea what is wrong? Tia

Your RX300 is a 1st generation RX, so you might want to post this question in that forum ....

Or, perhaps a moderator can move it.

I.e. 2nd gen was a 300 in the UK until the 350 was introduced for the 2006MY for both the US & UK.

The second-generation RX arrived in February 2003, just one month after its preview at the North American International Motor Show.
The North American market was unique in being supplied with a larger, 3.3-litre 230PS version of the original V6 engine. Because of this it was called the RX 330.
A minor model change was applied to the second-generation RX in January 2006, whereby the 3.0-litre engine was replaced with a larger yet more efficient 3.5-litre engine with Dual VVT-i. From then on the car was known as the RX 350.

When All the doors are unlocked, can you open the hatch by hand using the button on the outside of the hatch?
If not then maybe the latch is jammed or broken. There are threads around on how to remove the inner hatch panel to unlatch the door.
