Default Need advice (dropping car) bigger rims

I just got a really nice RX350 Flint Mica (love that color)

I'm looking to make it a bit more aggressive looking.

I am thinking Eibach Pro Springs (1.2" drop)

Considering 20x8.5 +25 rims on 255/45/20

I know this combination will work.

I'm also considering going with 22"
rims and tires but have no idea what will fit with the drop.

Anyone have any input on what rims/tires would work well
and look good with a 22" setup?

I've been searching around and saw a few examples of cars on 22's
and they looked really good but no mention of the setup itself.

Any input?

Wow lots of views and no replies are larger rims looks upon in a bad
light by the Lexus purist?

Anyway....

From what I can gather 22's can be problematic with fitment, bent rims and ride quality, etc.

From the research I've done it seems 20" rims with a reasonable tire and an Eibach drop looks just as good (to me anyway) with a better ride and less trouble.

I was originally going to buy an X5 BMW as I love the look of it but dreaded the reliability and high maintenance issues.

I love the reliability and quality of the RX-350 but don't like the soccer mom, this is your grandma's car feeling it gives me.

If I can toughen it up a bit and get a more aggressive look and feel to this car I'd be completely happy with it.

I see you're new to our community, so welcome to the forum! I think the reason people haven't posted is because there've been quite a few threads on large wheels. My advice, as is that of nearly 100% of our members, is to search first.

But to warn you, you got it on the nose before; the Lexus is designed for people who want a reliable and comfortable ride, so few people go for stance and wheels for this car. This is also pretty evident if you look at the way the wheels, suspension, and even wheel wells are designed. Unless you're ready to drop a few thousand on your wheels and tires, your options will be pretty constricted by offset and width, especially if you're in the stance scene and want your wheels to line up with the body. Also, if you drop the car AND get such large wheels, you'll feel and probably also hear everything on the road, so be prepared for that.

But back to your original question, I'd recommend a search. You'll definitely find everything you need!

I have 20x8.5 +25 with 255/45/20 tires and the Eibach pro kit installed on my 2006 AWD RX400h.

The ride is definitely harsher, but, in my opinion, worth the sacrifice for better handling and looks.

For ride comfort, I didn't consider 22s.

This. No matter what you do it's still a Lexus crossover.

If I want more aggressive I'll drive one of our proper sports cars.

I ended up going with the 20's I think it turned out nicely.

Still would like to lower it to complete the look.

I rides a little harder but I am fine with that I like a sporty ride
as apposed to the marshmallow feeling it had before.

For me, I am much more happy and it does not feel like I am driving grandma's SUV
anymore.

Looks good! I'm in the same boat as you, I had to modify the look of my RX so it wouldn't look like just another "Costco Cruiser"

Not yet, I am debating what to run with.

I am thinking between;
Eibach Pro, H&R or the Zoom Bane springs with 2" drop.

I think it would look nicer still dropped a bit.

As far as I know the Eibachs and H&R's are fine with stock shock. I am not sure about the Zoom Banes at 2" drop, anyone know?
