Good day to all in the CL RX forum!
I had a question regarding the console on the RX.
My wife is coming up on the end of her lease on a Honda Pilot, and I want for her to have a vehicles that's stylish, dependable, good gas mileage and comfortable. However, something that her nor I am a fan of: the peculiar rounded slant and location of the shifter. Now, something that I JUST found out from perusing this site, was that not all RX models have that. Some have a straight forward console with the shifter below everything. I like the look of that better ans I think she will too!
Is there a trim/package I should be looking for to get that console look we desire? When I Google 2009 RX 350, I see both styles..
Thanks ahead of time guys!
All 2004-2009 RXs have the shifter in the same location. The cup holders/center console storage area between the front two seats can slide forward and back.
All the way back in this pic. Notice the large distance between the cup holders and shifter.
And this is with the center console all the way forward. Notice the small gap between the center console and shifter.
I think you are seeing pics of the 3rd generation RXs. When I googled "2009 RX 350" it showed images of both the second generation RX and third generation RX. Can you post some pics of the two styles you are referring to so that we can verify?
Hey, thanks so much guys!
JustJosh: That's actually the style I like.
Jakenbake: I guess that's where the issues lies with me, im not sure when the second generation starts/stops.
For specify though, the photos that JustJosh posted is the console I prefer....
Justjosh, Jakenbake and kitlz, thanks a bunch! Really appreciate that! 2RX it is then! Would any of you mind sharing your ownership experience, if any, regarding the 2RX? Pros, cons...
