Default 2007 RX350 102k Thoughts?

Hey everyone,

Looking at at very clean 2007 RX350 with 102k on it, one owner, service @ Lexus dealer the whole time. Is there anything I should be aware of or look for? price is $16,000 good or bad? Rides like a dream and the wife loves it too. Wondering if this is a good, safe buy. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Club Lexus beefmc. Does this vehicle have the premium plus package that includes Navigation System with bluetooth, Moonroof, and HID headlamps with AFS?

Thanks, Yes, it has the premium plus package with all you listed, also was reading the forums about power steering rack issues so I put VIN in on lexus owners site and saw they REPLACED POWER STEERING RACK ASSY & FLUIDS. RECHECKED AFTERWARDS RIGHT SIDE BOOT @ 84,213. I assume this helps the car look better

Yes, $16,000 is a good price for the vehicle. Also check that it has no moisture in the headlights; a problem widely discussed here on CL.

look for bad lower front control arm bushings and check if they've done spark plugs yet - kind of a pain to do and expensive.

Thanks, Will check bushings, but doesn't look like they did the plugs, atleast not at the dealership. Looks like plugs are due @ 120k so atleast I have a little while to save up..lol

Checking cars.com the average price for a 100k '07 is around 15k but if that vehicle has all the bells and whistles and a good maintenance record (replacing the rack is 700-1500 job) I would buy it.

$16K is not bad for a clean, one-owner with maint record RX350 with all the option listed above. We bought a 08 RX350 80K mile several months ago rom a local Lexus dealer. One owner with all service records, new set of Michelins and all options listed above for $22K in the SF bay area.

Not sure about the 350, but on a 330 I'd see if the timing belt had been replaced too. Not a deal breaker but if it has that seems like a good vehicle.

The RX350 uses a timing chain and not a belt. No service is required.

Sounds a little pricey to me...granted I love the fact that it's a one owner and dealer maintained (as they always OVER maintain the cars...for profit that is), however we picked up our 1 owner 05 for $9,000 with 108K. This was after A LOT of wheeling and dealing though as we wanted $11,000 then again we had to drop ~$1,000 into it for timing belt, water pump, both drive belts, all fluids and filter changes, alignment and a good old fashion detailing inside and out. Also, this owner did not have the dealer records, which is why everything got changed.

I say $14,000 would be a great price if you have the time to wheel and deal!
