Hi, when I put my 2009 Rx350 in reverse, it shows up black on the navigation screen. The "please check surroundings" message is still there but the screen is black. The camera seems intact to me.

Anybody have this problem before and know of a remedy? Did it last night and now again this morning. Thanks very much for your help.

I had this issue on my 2004 and Lexus replaced the camera under warranty.

 

You need to pull any Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Chances are you will have a 5C-40 code. The Lexus Service Manual shows Wire harness, Camera or circuit board problem.
