I am a new owner of a 2IS sports luxury from Australia!

Just wondering if anyone's had issues with the reverse camera where it just goes black. I have read many variations of this issue, only one of which describes exactly my issue - That is i get a black screen and no warning message on the screen at all saying to check my mirrors.

I am just wondering if anyone knows if this is a camera issue or wiring issue? Or is this too hard to tell? I have posted a video of exactly what happens.

As you mention no issues with the screen functionality I would hazard to guess the vehicle does not know it is in reverse. Step one, confirm the backup lights come on when in reverse.
Step 2 look for traces of someone messing with it like having the dash apart. Example, place a dvd in the player and put it in drive. Does the video keep playing?

Because this is rare, I would think someone before you has tampered with it.

You did confirm the camera is present and not blocked by some giant black license plate frame, yes?
