Thanks, I will check this out but I am now pretty sure I have the Towing Package. How do I know? It turns out that I posted on Edmunds "Prices Paid" section the deal I got on the Lexus in case it helped others!!

And here is an excerpt from what I posted:

Options Included:

- Navigation System w/ Rear View Camera
- 6-Disc In-Dash CD Changer
- 18" Alloy Wheels
- Heated Seats w/Rain Sensing Wipers
- Premium Package Plus
- Towing Package
- Lexus Personalized Settings
- Preferred Accessory Package

MSRP: $45,753

So if I am right about having the towing package, I assume that I should be good to go towing a trailer - total weight 3000 lbs - as long as I don't tax the engine too much?

We are not going over the Rockies but will be do the south west route to minimize the elevated ranges in PA as well the Rockies.

All you have is words on the internet. You need to go make sure you have the cooler. If you don't then you are going to be in trouble. Even if you do have it, you are going to be at the limit of your capabilities. The engine is not the problem, it is the transmission and brakes that you need to worry about. Does the trailer have trailer brakes?

not sure what you need to load inside of the trailer...the uhaul 5x10 trailer will work fine. Do you really need the 6x12 and push the car to the limit?

Super easy to install. hardest part is accessing the wire harness.
