Has anyone replaced a bad ballast on the HID style headlamp? Is it difficult? The DIY on this forum doesn't appear to be the HID but the halogen style.
The dealer would not do this for me even if I brought a working ballast in. I was also hoping to fix the condensation issue at the same time.

 

I believe its at the bottom of the headlight housing. You remove the whole headlight housing and unscrew a cover at the bottom to get to it.

make sure you discharge the ballast before taking it off....you dont want to get zap with that.....
