The 2004 RX330 is getting up there in age. Even normal items need to be checked regardless of mileage now due to age. For example, water pump, timing belt and spark plugs. Struts on all four corners should be closely checked.

As for problems, steering racks and wheel bearings (on AWD) seem to come up often.

If you search this forum for RX330 problems you will find a number of threads from owners and issues which have come up or potential buyers such as yourself asking the same question.

You will likely not have any major problems until the vehicle has about 175 thousand miles on it.

At that point you will likely see some minor issues such as starter problems, suspension components wearing out, bearings, battery, cv axles tend to go near 200 to 250K, O2 Sensors, coils at 225+, etc.

As for Tranny and big time engine issues, I would not worry about those as long as regular maintenance is done.
