Does anyone know if you can buy the headlight lens cover seperate to the whole unit rather than buying a whole new headlight? My headlight is fairly scratched up and yellowing. I know you can get it sanded and then polished out and UV protected. I would like a new lens if it were available. This is for 04 RX330.

 

As far as i know you cannot but i hope others will chime in and I'm wrong. You may just have to get it professionally refurbshed.

 

There is a product called plastics by maguire use it first to clean the lense if you have a buffer. Then you can use those products to remove the yellowish discoloration. Otherwise you have to buy whole thing

 

I believe you mean PlastX for use on plastics.

 

Good product but really only work for lenses with slight blemishes. If signicant yellowing or any cracking you'll have to have them sanded, buffed, and resealed.

 

I purchased 2 brand new headlights from ebay for $244 dollars, they are identical to OEM.

The problem the OP would have is getting them to Australia. Cost of shipping is outrageous.

 

Try Plastx, fairly successful for me with my other yellowy lenses. I use Plastx to clean my RX' slight blemish.

 

There are new combo's being sold in the stores. It is a polish like Plastx and then a UV protectant that advertises to keep the lens looking clear a lot longer.

Plastx will clean your lenses but you will have to do it every couple of weeks to keep it clear. works for me.

 

I use the Plastx stuff a couple times a year or so. Brings it back to the 85-90% good range. Not 100% perfect, but quick, easy and cheap.

Just remember a couple of years ago none of these products were available and we had to suffer through the yellowy dull headlamps.
