Default 07 RX350 halogen to projector help please.

I just bought 07 rx350 with halogen headlights, and wanted to swap to the projectors, is it gonna work ? my has 71k miles, non- nav. 1 owner , everything serviced at lexus dealer in houston. Price was $22,000 but came down to $18,000 not including anything. Is it a good deal? Any inputs will be appreciated.

You are looking at major work for the headlights and various sensors, etc...

You might look at aftermarket headlights without the AFS.

It's plug and play with factory HID non AFS, I bought a used one and had the dealer swapped it. The hardest part to do is to remove the front bumper.

You can get HID without AFS? Learn something new every day.

I dont think mine has AFS, its the reflector type with the yellowish output. Mine is not HID. They are regular bulbs. How to know if mine has AFS? if i dont, its not a big deal, all i need is the outside look and look ok at night when driving. I mean i want the reflector to projector type. Thanks

If you have AFS there will be a button (AFS OFF) directly above the gas tank door release button.

Is there a separate ballast to go with the HID when you go from halogen to HID? Will the existing wire support the current? I am assuming HID draws more power.

Yes, a ballast is needed for each HID lamp.
Current wiring is capable of powering the system.
HID's draw less power than a halogen bulb but put out more lumens depending on what kelvin color is chosen, typically in the 5k-8k range. Any higher they look blue or purple any lower they look yellow.
