About to do the same with Cerwin Vega's underseat sub next week

Do you or anyone else know what the gap height minimum is (when seat set to lowest height?) ie... could you run into a problem lowering seat? The Sir Win is apx. 2.6" high so should be OK.

From what I've noticed, the actual seat hight doesn't move, only the cushion.

That seems correct thanks.

The Cerwin Vega fits OK but leaves no toe room for a passenger. Also even though unit is sold as an underseat sub the manual does say that this is sub optimal for sound quality and should go in the trunk. I'll reconsider this....

A sub manufacturer will always say a sub will be better when mounted in a trunk - a giant box that's great for bass. There is no such luxury in anything with a hatchback. You'll be fine with mounting it under the seat. It'll still get some bass reflex from under the seat.
