Lift Gate Issue
04 RX330 lift gate issue. When I try to close the lift gate with either the pad on the gate, the remote, or the dash button, the gate will close approximately 25% and then beep and return to the open position. I replaced the struts last week but no change. Maybe 8 out of 10 times the gate works correctly. It acts as though the safety reverse is malfunctioning. Ideas?

There are numerous threads on this issue. Do a search this forum using the words "lift gate" (with quotes) or hatch. It's possible you have a problem with the hatch motor or the new struts you installed are binding and causing the hatch to reverse.
