Default 2007 rx 350 serpentine belt help

I have always replaced belts/hoses myself, but my wife's rx350 does a great job of hiding the belt. I would appreciate any tips on the easiest way to access the belt to change it. As a second question, I am under the impression that the Rx 350 has a timing chain, not a timing belt---will someone please confirm that for me. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Correct, you have a timing chain.

do the rx and gs have the same engine compartment design? would the instructions be the same? from looking at the rx compartment, i don't think just by removing the plastic shroud i will be able to access the belt very well. if i had to guess, i would think i might have to go thru passenger wheel well.

That is correct, the rx350 has a transversely mounted engine. The gs is not. Wait until you have to change spark plugs
