Check version 11.1 generation 2/3 on eBay. Even though the dealer price has dropped to $169 it is still overpriced.

The problem with many on eBay is that they are burned copies of the original, of dubious quality, and definitely illegal.

BTW, has anyone noticed that starting with the 2010 RX there is no longer a DVD for the NAV system? They installed a hard drive to contain the maps. Now, you rent time with a USB Flash Drive at the dealer to update your maps. Do not believe you can actually purchase the upgrade to do the job yourself. One way of ensuring that revenue stream.

eBay Motors has cracked down hard on these illegal copies. There is an 11.1 OEM there but it is still expensive $149. I also noticed that the 11.1 generation 2/3 DVD is sold as a West or East Version. My thinking on that is the DVD player in the early RX does not support dual layer discs.

They can also do the map update OTA (Over The Air)

$149 gets me a new portable GPS with a 4"-5" screen and lifetime map and traffic updates.

I have 10.1 on a dual layer disc on my 2004 rx330. Works fine.
