Default peeling/cracking side mirrors

I started to notice the side mirrors cracking. Does anyone know the cause of this and a possible solution? Possibly a call to Lexus?

This photo is really confusing. Are these pitted mirrors on your 2004 RX330?

The image on the left is the driver side mirror/panel and the one on the right is the passenger side .mirror panel. Sorrry, I am not aware of the term "pitted." Do you mean taken off?

Is your car a certified pre-owned? I don't know of any TSIB's on this issue, but if it is under any warranty, there may be a chance to have the dealer help you out.

Although, seeing that you are in South Carolina, if you are close to a beach, sand, etc. then it may be considered abnormal errosion and not covered.
