took the 05 RX through an automatic wash and one of the plastic pieces that cover where the roof rack is mounted to the roof came off. Anyone know where I can get a replacement for just that one piece? It came off the left rear.

One of the benefits of the roof rack is that it protects the antenna base from damage.

The tie in ito this thread is I removed my roof rack & installed the OEM one piece rubber trim over the channels in the roof.

I ordered them from my local dealer for around $90 a side. They had to order the left side three times due to shipping damage.

End result it looks great, but the antenna is now out in the open.

Have the wife close the garage door as your driving in & bam, no more antenna. The roof rack rails would have protected it.

 

You could replace the antenna with a 100 dollar fin, it survives carwashes quite well. The appearance is controversial but I like it much more than the black (500?) stick. Available at beatsonic-usa.com
