Default Changing battery

I just changed the battery on my 2007 RX350 for the first time since new. The closest Lexus dealer is 75 miles away and had to ask the Toyota service manager how to reset the power moonroof and power windows. Well I finally got them all reprogrammed but the Sirius Satellite radio will not receive "Satellites" , only AM/FM. Don't have the slightest idea what changing the vehicle battery has to do with knocking out the Sirius Satelite Radio. It's an in-the-dash, not an add-on. Just won't ever load the the Sats. Does anyone have a soolution.

By the way, the Nav system on this dadgummed vehicle is the worst GPS ever put in a vehicle. Wife drives a Toyota Limited Avalon and Nav system is a breeze to operate. I had a 1999 RX300 with 186,000 miles on it and out of 43 cars/pickups I've owned since I was 16, it was the best . Other than "normal" maintenance, no problems whatsoever. I don't think this 2007 is going to be equal. This is my wife's 3rd Avalon. She did have an Lexus ES300 prior to the present Avalon and that ES300 was the worst car we've ever had bar none.

If anyone knows has suggestions how to get the Satellite Radio to operate again, Please let me know.

Default Xm

Your XM radio should pick up the preview channels on 1, 2 and 3.

If your not getting them. Then the system isnt working.

If they are working. But not the subscription ones. You just need a reset on your reciever.

I just changed our 2007 RX350's battery as well and everything was knocked out. It took 3 restarts to get everything working again and i had to do the individual window motor "relearns" on all 4 windows....joy joy.

I asked a fellow at Radio Shack about the Sirrius Sat radio and he showed me that by pressing and holding the SAT/AM button until the SATS can 'load' again from preview channel 1. Similar to what is required on all four power sindow switches. Same is true for the Sun/Mood roof. What a way to run a battleship. I'm still cussing the @%^$@^&&*! navigation system in this thing. Lexus need it for a necktie.

On my RX, the cigarette lighters turn 'off' when the ignition is off, so I don't know how the memory could be kept since the connection between your 'gadget' and the car circuitry is interrupted?

Very possible. The way I change the battery on my BMW is to connect another battery to the terminals while I change the battery. It would be the way to do it on the RX, but when Lexus changed my battery they did not maintain any voltage/charge, and several settings were lost. They re-set the windows etc... but, as I discovered later, after lending the car to a friend, the seat settings were lost. On the other hand, the radio setting were not lost.
