changing battery on IS220D
looks like i need a new battery for my is220d here in the UK
as its let me down twice whilst waiting in my car listening to the radio for over 30 mins(had to get a jump start)
is easy to change the battery myself
or
will i have to take it to the lexus dealer as someone told me might mess up satnav and other settings etc if i do it myself

Changing the battery is fairly easy. It did delete all of my radio presets, but surprisingly, my speed dial numbers and personal nav spots were retained. The trickiest part was getting a couple of cables that are connected to the side of the plastic cover off (assuming that the Euro models are the same).
got it done this morning cost £80!!
guy at local garage (non lexus) said its one of the biggest battery they do for cars and thing bigger it would be for truck!
atleast no more braking down and i can listen to me music
wonder how much lexus would have charged i bet they would have put another £30 -50 on top for sitting in their posh waiting area drinking their free posh coffee

Erc527, PLEASE, DO TELL how do you remove the two cables on the right side from the plastic box... I changed a lot of batteries in my life and yet never seen such an idiotic thing!
