I have a problem where the power lock will unlock all the doors but it will not lock.

Unlocking opens all the doors so it's not an electrical problem and not an actuator problem because all doors will unlock.

Pressing the lock on either driver or passenger side door does nothing on any of the doors.

Any insights?

Did you change the battery recently?

If you did you have to reiniatlize all of the doors and windows.

 

Happens intermittently to me. No rhyme or reason that I can determine. Very rare that I haven't raised it during service at the dealer. Costs about $65 to diagnose anything.

Does it come back randomly as well or only after dealer service?

 

Reinitializing is only required for the windows, sunroof and (sometimes) the power hatch. It's not necessary for door locks.

 

Maybe you have some 3rd party alarm system installed which might cause such a problem?
