Default Latest recall

Hello,
My vehicle is affected by the latest recall. I was wondering who has already taken their vehicle to the dealership and how long was your vehicle there for as the closest dealership is about a 40 minute drive
Thanks in advance,
Chris

I haven't heard of anyone getting it done yet. The letter i got said they were in the process of getting the parts to the dealers and another letter would state when they were ready.

which recall are you speaking of??

about two weeks ago i had the floor mat recall and the brake master cylinder cup recall performed, the two took about 2 hours total, and depending on your dealer they will also fill your tank, so go in on the low side just in case.

Are you referring to the crankshaft pulley recall on Canadian models RX330?

The recall is on all RXs, not just Canadian ones. My 400h was made in Japan and I got the notification letter in the fall of last year IIRC.

just so you know, even if your vehicle falls within the recall VIN range, upon inspection, you might not need a new part, i which case it could be a very quick recall.

and depending on milage and condition of parts, it might be a good time to replace some belts, and in some cases, the timing belt, as it might save you a little labour

Had my '05 done with 69k miles and talked them into doing the timing belt while the crankshaft pulley was off. Dealer did the timing belt and the two accessory belts for $350. Dealer said that 90% of inspected pulley's required replacement.

Looking for some answers as my curiosity was peaked. I received my official notification about this recall. In the letter it states that sometimes the warning light, I'm assuming CEL, if this case what engine code would be displayed? I have my appointment next Tuesday.

Might be the alternator/charge light as well as if the pulley falls off, and the accessory belts go with it, your alternator will not be charging (unless you have a 400h - the crankshaft pulley doesn't drive any external belts on the hybrid - I needed the recall done on my 2006 400h).

I went to the dealer yesterday for the recall. My vehicle needed to have the parts replaced. In total my car was at the dealer for just over 3 hours, including and interior and exterior wash. While I was there I asked about the CEL codes that could be tripped by this issue. In rare situations I was told a misfire code could happen

It is rare for the misfire to occur under these circumstances. Misfires normally occur due to an issue with the ignition coil and to a lesser extent the spark plug, fuel delivery or even having a very low tank.
